The NIH MRI Study of Normal Brain Development is a multi-centre, mixed cross-sectional and longitudinal study of anatomical and behavioural maturation in 500 typically-developing children ages 0-18 years. The database has been made publicly available since 2007 and has gone through 5 releases by 2011. This talk will review recent work on: (i) age-appropriate structural atlasing. (ii) Cortical correlates of behavioral metrics, e.g. IQ, testosterone level, aggressivity/anxiety. (iii) age-related changes in structural network topology derived from cortical thickness analysis.
