The goal for 2014 is to develop practice parameters for minimally verbal individuals (MVI) in the areas of: characterization, evaluation, intervention, developmental considerations and underserved populations. We will facilitate mentorship partnerships within the projects.
Specific aims include:
1) Provide a brief review of current literature
2) Workgroups will:
a. Discuss the current literature and identify critical gaps
b. Outline plans for the development of one or two specific practice parameters c. Establish the project goals and key milestones, aiming to present at IMFAR 2015.
d. Leaders will organize project teams with mentors partnered with junior faculty and student members.
